Mid Vermont Christian School offers an education for preschoolers through the 12th grade. Students learn in self-contained classrooms, with individual classroom teachers providing instruction. The Word of God is integrated into each classroom and each subject.
The materials used to implement the curriculum at MVCS are mainly from Christian publishers. We are currently using materials published by: A Beka Book, Bob Jones University Press, Glencoe, Houghton Mifflin, McDougal Littell, Pearson Education, and various other publishers.
HONOR ROLL
To help promote a standard of excellence, we utilize an Honor Roll. To achieve high honors a student must have all grades for the quarter between 90% (A-) and 100% (A+). To achieve honors a student must have all grades for the quarter between 80% (B-) and 100% (A+). These students will receive a certificate of achievement. These may also be posted in the Monday Monitor and the local newspapers.
HONESTY
It is expected that all students will be truthful and honest at all times as a clear testimony to the Lord. If a student does lie or cheat on any school assignments, he/she will be disciplined accordingly. The student may receive a zero on the assignment and possibly a school suspension depending on the situation.
Homework and other classroom type assignments are not to be shared with other students to copy. Both parties (students) are guilty if this interchange of information takes place. Students are encouraged to study together or help each other, but not to copy work from one another.
