Tuition and Financial aid

Our Philosophy

At the heart of Mid Vermont Christian School’s mission is a commitment to provide qualified students with access to an excellent education that prepares them for college, vocational pursuits, military service, and Christian ministry, regardless of their ability to pay.

To fulfill this mission, MVCS partners with foundations, donors, and individuals to offer variable tuition assistance and significantly reduce the cost of tuition. Our need-based financial aid model provides a customized based tuition a family pays based on their income, assets, and household size, making private education accessible to a wide range of economic backgrounds.

2026-2027 Tuition rates at MVCS for Full Time Students*

  • Preschool – 6th Grades: Full tuition: $12,000

  • 7th – 8th Grades: Full tuition: $14,000

Variable Tuition at MVCS

  • Available for full-time, in-person students.
  • Average tuition per student is $6,200.
  • Although we do not have a sibling discount, the variable tuition assistance does take multiple students into account.

*These costs do not take into account the various subsidies and financial assistance programs available through Vermont and New Hampshire

MVCS scholarships or financial aid will only be considered once all other forms of aid are maximized. All forms for the next school year must be processed and in the possession of the school by the end of April of the current year for aid in the following year.

There will be no discrimination based on age, sex, racial, ethical, or socio-economic factors.

Applications received beyond the deadline will be considered only if funds remain available, and only on a first come, first serve basis.

Most funds are disbursed in May

To appeal the financial award given by MVCS, please send an email to mvcsfinances@mvcs.info, explaining why you need additional aid. The Financial Aid Committee will review your request, possibly requiring a meeting.

Financial assistance may be suspended if:

Tuition Payment Options

Each enrolled family at MVCS will be asked to sign a Parent Financial Agreement (PFA), which outlines the financial obligations of the family to the school. Parents will choose a payment plan and answer the other questions on the PFA, and then send the school a signed copy to maintain on file.

Tuition can be paid using one of three plans. Discounts are available only for full-time, in-person students.

  1. Full Payment: Pay the total tuition by August 1st and receive a 4% discount. (Discount is forfeited if payment is late.)

  2. Two Payments: Pay half by August 1st and the balance by January 1st for a 2% discount. (Discount is forfeited if payment is late.)

  3. Monthly Payments: Ten monthly payments equal to 1/10 of total tuition plus an annual FACTS Management Company fee. Payments are automatically deducted on the 5th or 20th of each month from August through June. Missed payment fees apply for insufficient funds. Students may be restricted from classes if tuition is not current.
