MRS. AMIE BETTLE

Finance Assistant

Amie Bettle is married to her husband, Roy, and they have two children, ages 15 and 19. She graduated from the University of San Diego, and after college, she worked in Finance and Accounting for Disney Studios.

After getting married and starting a family, Amie chose to focus on homeschooling her children. In 2024, she returned to the workforce and joined Mid Vermont Christian School as the Finance Assistant, where she enjoys putting her accounting experience and organizational skills to work. She is grateful for the opportunity to use her experience and skills in a setting where faith is an important part of the school community.

Outside of work, Amie enjoys hiking, running, and skiing. She also loves reading the Bible, along with classic literature, and modern dystopian fiction.

A favorite scripture verse that has worked in her life over the years as she made her own plans, but the Lord had another in mind:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

Proverbs 3:5–6

MISS CHERIE BLESSING

3rd and 4th Grade Teacher

Miss Blessing graduated from Messiah College with a BS in Elementary Education and University of South Carolina with a Masters in Elementary Curriculum. A favorite Bible verse of hers is Philippians 4:8 because she wants to grow to think more like Christ each day. It reads “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” She loves to sing with her family, read, swim at sunrise at her local lake, smell the balsam at the top of Cannon Mountain, and take trips to the coast of Maine in the winter. One of Miss Blessing’s most life impacting choices was spending seven summers serving on a mission team to Nova Scotia, Canada, leading Bible clubs and weeks of camp plus mentoring team members in teaching children. She is wild about teaching, and having the privilege to shepherd young hearts at MVCS is her dream come true.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

MR. MICHAEL HUSTON

Maintenance Engineer

Hi, My name is Mike Huston. I’m happy to announce that I will be the new custodian for the school. I met my wife, Dana, 17 years ago and she is from this beautiful place called Vermont. I am originally from Florida, but once she brought me to Vermont, I never looked back. We have two children, Brenya and James, who attend MVCS. When I am not working, I enjoy hiking, swimming, boating, and sledding with my family.

For the last 10 years, I have worked as a truck driver.
