Miss Blessing graduated from Messiah College with a BS in Elementary Education and University of South Carolina with a Masters in Elementary Curriculum. A favorite Bible verse of hers is Philippians 4:8 because she wants to grow to think more like Christ each day. It reads “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” She loves to sing with her family, read, swim at sunrise at her local lake, smell the balsam at the top of Cannon Mountain, and take trips to the coast of Maine in the winter. One of Miss Blessing’s most life impacting choices was spending seven summers serving on a mission team to Nova Scotia, Canada, leading Bible clubs and weeks of camp plus mentoring team members in teaching children. She is wild about teaching, and having the privilege to shepherd young hearts at MVCS is her dream come true.

She and her husband now have four children who will be attending Mid Vermont Christian School. They live in Grantham, NH and are active members of Riverbank Church. My teaching career began as a preschool teacher at the Woodstock Christian Childcare. At MVCS, I was a parent volunteer, substitute teacher, auction committee member, and was the school librarian. I then taught 4th grade for 15 years. After stepping out of the classroom for two years I am so grateful to be returning and teaching second grade. Last year, I was at MVCS tutoring and helping in the classroom and it sparked my desire to return to teaching. My husband and I live in Woodstock, VT and have raised our four children. Our two youngest children graduated from Mid Vermont. Now they are grown adults with families of their own and we are blessed with many grandchildren. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior when I was raising a young family. It has been the joy of my life to spend those valuable years walking with the Lord. Our home of worship has been the First Congregational Church of Woodstock for many years. Praise the Lord for allowing me to return to teaching at Mid Vermont! It is great to be back! “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” Galatians 2:20

Our Elementary students benefit greatly from her expertise and love for the language, and our JSH students have fond memories of traveling to Guatemala on MVCS's annual Missions Trip with Mrs. Walker. In her spare time her and her husband, Don, tap their farm's maple trees and make the most delicious maple syrup!
